After signing the contract between SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) and foreign oil companies on 20.09.94 in Baku, began new stage of oil-gas extraction from deepwater part of Caspian Sea. In view of that there also the necessity in subsea-technical works has extensively increased. Since the august 1996 year CODERO (on behalf of SOCAR) has been working in Alliance with French company Stolt Comex Seaway and jointly with it has fulfilled vast subsea technical operations for foreign consortiums in Caspian sea. Some of that projects are mentioned below:

Alliance in SCS

ROV drilling assistance on board the semi-submersible drilling rig "Dada Gorgud" from August 1996 until nowadays. CODERO provides this project with ROV pilots.

 Survey, audit and repair of the airdiving equipment onboard the Pipelay Barge "Israfil Guseinov" for Saipem/AIOC, December 1996 - February 1997.

 Provision of airdiving, saturation diving and ROV assistance onboard the Derrick Barge "Azerbaijan" for AIOC's Early Oil Chirag-1 refurbishing and subsea pipeline tie-ins programme, from February 1997 to end November 1997. A huge amount of CODERO's personnel (divers, engineers and ROV pilots) were involved for fulfilling these project.

 Provision of ROV drilling assistance for the "Azerbaijan Rig Sharing Parties" (AIOC, CIPCO, NAOK, BP) onboard the semi-submersible rig "Istiglal". This contract started in October 1998. CODERO supplies this project with upgraded in Aberdeen ROV "Scorpio-058" and ROV pilots.

 Two month airdiving inspection on Stationary Drilling Rig (SDR) "Chirag-1", June-July 1998. CODERO's air diving equipment and divers were involved to this project.

 ROV inspection of the full SDR Chirag-1 platform for AIOC, using up CODERO's ROV "Seahawk". (September 1998 and June 1999)
